The VK-47 Flatline, or simply the Flatline, is a bullpup assault rifle employed by combatants in the Apex Games, available in Apex Legends. The weapon is considered a successor to its Frontier War ancestor, the V-47 Flatline. For the most part, it bears the same characteristics, but it no longer has the horizontal-only or "flatline" recoil that its predecessor had, bearing both vertical and horizontal recoil.
Employing heavy ammunition, the Flatline can switch between semi-automatic (single shot) and fully automatic firing modes. Attachments are available for the gun's magazine, stock, and sights.
The Flatline is a standard and beloved civilian firearm, used throughout the Frontier against predators of all species. Many Militia volunteers brought their personal Flatlines with them when they joined the ranks. Its harsh recoil makes it an inelegant piece of machinery, but its famous reliability and resilience ensure it will always have a place in Frontier life.
