We here at Titanfall Wiki, believe in Quality Standards when it comes to writing articles. The Quality Standards are made to keep Titanfall Wiki's articles in a similar design manner and to keep the wiki's articles informative, concise, and truthful. More info: Titanfall Wiki:Rules

General standards[]

  • All of the pages should include real, factual content.
  • Articles should be written in clear, concise English language. This wiki places no preference on American vs. British (or any other regional variant) as long as that variant of English is used consistently throughout the article as a whole.
  • When adding content, don't add content in a short manner, expand it so it gets detailed, so it can be accepted as a real article. This doesn't mean you need to expand it with meaningless content just to make the size of the content look bigger. We count the quality of the content, not the amount of words.
  • If a page has already too small amount of content, it should be expanded. Articles severely lacking in content should be tagged {{stub}} at the beginning of the article.
  • If a page only has a sidebar (infobox) on the side, it should get content.
  • If an article has a lot of text, it must be divided with paragraphs.
  • If an article has too much of unnecessary text, it should be cut down, keeping its essence, but making for an easier reading with the same facts and satisfaction.
  • If there's an infobox which fits an article and the editor knows how to use an infobox, it has to be used. Infoboxes are made to keep the website cleaner and more visually attractive.
  • All of the pages shouldn't use any complex codes, they all should be easily opened up both in the "Source" option or the "WYSIWYG" option.
  • All misspelling or misleading info should be changed immediately if spotted.
  • If you're interested in uploading a picture onto the wiki, please choose the right License.
  • There is no tolerance for illegal content on the wiki and all illegal content must be removed (for example: uncensored porn/nudity or hateful or racist remarks or content, links to download illegal file(s), such as songs, videos. etc. etc.)

Titling[]

When a user titles an article, all the necessary rules that follow common titling with capitalization should be applied. Sentence-formed titles are not permitted and should be renamed. For example:

  • "Titanfall tips and tricks" is not correct.
  • "Titanfall Tips and Tricks" is correct.

If two articles have the same name, the more prominent/ noteworthy in-universe instance should take priority in naming. For example, the article name "BT-7274" could refer to the character of BT-7274 in Titanfall 2, the second mission of Titanfall 2 or the song in the Titanfall 2 Original Soundtrack. In this case, the character would take prominence and be given the article name BT-7274. The other articles would then be named BT-7274 (level) and BT-7274 (music). The descriptor in brackets should remain consistent with other articles, and remain un-capitalised.

  • For maps and campaign levels, use (level)
  • For weapons, use (weapon)
  • For songs, use (music)
  • For different characters of the same name, something descriptive such as (Militia rifleman) or (IMC scientist) is permitted to easily identify different people.
  • For locations, suffixes such as (planet), (moon), (star) and (city) are preferred over (location) when possible.

When naming articles after characters and people, ranks and titles should not be included in the article title. For example, Marder is permissable where "General Marder" would not be.
