The Outlands are a remote cluster of planets on the outer edges of The Frontier. As of now, there are only 10 known planets to exist in the outlands: Gaea, Psamathe, Solace, Talos, Boreas, Tartarus, Salvo, Raffi, Nexus and Pagos.
History[]
At least before the Titan Wars began, the Outlands were known to be home to the "Thunderdome" arena games, where a young Kuben Blisk got his start as a fighter.
During the Frontier War, the Outlands were mostly untouched by the vicious fighting between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation and Frontier Militia. Following the war's end, the region saw an influx of settlers, looking for new resources and lands in the wake of the war's devastation. However it was affected by the blackout that hit The Frontier not long after the Battle of Gridiron.[1]
At some point following the war's end, the island of King's Canyon was chosen to be the site of the Apex Games, as a revival of the Outlands' use of combat sports as a form of entertainment.
