Particle Shields are pieces of technology employed by Shield Grunt and Captain infantry in the IMC. They resemble handheld Particle Walls, capable of shielding a single human. The Particle Shield cannot be equipped or utilised by player characters in gameplay.
Similarly to the Particle Wall, the Particle Shield is capable of blocking incoming projectiles, while simultaneously allowing outgoing fire from the operator's personal weapons. Unlike the Particle Wall, however, the Shield is capable of stunning anyone who comes into contact with it similar to the effects displayed by Arc Weaponry.
Shield Infantry operating Particle Shields wear equipment visually similar to that of the A-Wall Pilot, but the shield itself does not display any amp effects.
