James McCormick, also known by his alias Forge, was a non-playable fake Legend featured in the Apex Legends video series Stories from the Outlands.

History[]

Forge was a five-time Hyper-Fighting Federation Champion, who was widely supported and referred to as the people's champion and beat out Newcastle for a place in the Apex Games. Forge was sponsored by Hammond Robotics to participate in the Apex Games; however, during his interview with Outlands Television Correspondent Lisa Stone he was assassinated by the enraged Simulacrum Revenant, who had a severe hate for Hammond Robotics for creating him.

After Death[]

After Forge's assassination Revenant took his place as the next Legend to compete in the Apex Games.

During Unraveling the Syndicate Ep. 2 Lisa Stone uses Forge as an example to The Syndicates negligence to protect the Legends of the Apex Games.

Inside Newcastle's workshop a picture of Forge can be seen on a dart board with several darts and X's over his eyes can be seen.

Trivia[]

  • Forge was solely made by Respawn Entertainment in order to deceive data miners that could leak information regarding Revenant's release. There was no actual kit that was put in place for him, and no skins were developed.
  • In retrospect, the community should have been able to easily figure out that forge was not the season 4 legend. Unlike the 3 previous legends that were released (Along with the legend who came in season 5), Forge's existence came out of the blue, while Revenant already had designs for himself (was named "Blackout" by many early datamining sources)
  • Forge's name was another thing that originally hinted that he would not be the next legend, as forge means "fake", which indicated he was a fake legend.
