You have to keep in mind: Respawn themselves said that Viper's Northstar kit for extended flight is prohibitively expensive. The sky, at least, is a no-go.

If anything, make use of the Malta's hull as a shield. Also, take note of the Flight Core: you have a good window of opportunity to get out of the way. Using the Dash could increase your chances as well.

Except for the scale, no. That's a way radical change of gameplay and philosophy. Rather, just keep the gameplay relatively the same.

@Watashi wa noodles - again as a few other users pointed out, Apex Legends takes place in generally the same Titanfall universe. It's like The Mandalorian being part of the Star Wars Canon universe. Calling it a crossover is quite frankly an understatement.

To upgrade your Titan's Aegis Rank, you need to finish a Frontier Defense match with all 5 waves defeated.
The official tutorial video will provide the basics. What I recommend is play it on 'Easy' difficulty for the first few matches. Then proceed to the 'Normal' difficulty.

Play Frontier Defense. That's where you could get the Titan's Aegis Ranks upgraded easily and quickly.
Compare the shape of the ship in The Ark to the IMC Bomber. The "cockpit" is extended forward from the wing. Then, there are the bulky panels from its sides. And there are the winglets, not seen on any model of its size.
EDIT: Okay, disregard the winglets. The Bomber has them.
Just recently, a user is vandalising the wiki with a lot of nonsense information, ranging from supposed leaks of Titanfall 3 (in really, there isn't) to even the COVID-19 pandemic.

@OranjiAra - look at the Volt's right side closely. It's faint, but look below your feet where you fired your gun also and you can definitely see bullet casings.
@OranjiAra - the Volt is mentioned to use blue tracers. It doesn't exactly confirm if it is an energy weapon. Then, there is the fact that you can see bullet casings coming out from the gun bolt.
It was written as presumed in the article's infobox. That doesn't mean fully that the IMC has more ulterior motives there.
